Vivendi Does is Again; Zaoza Portal Launched
Vivendi once started the Vizzavi portal together with Vodafone. After the project dying off years ago, the company is now back with Zaoza, a subscription based mobile entertainment portal.
Subscribers to the portal pay a monthly fee of € 3,- for full access. After this fee, they are able to consume as much mobile games, ringtones and other content as they want. The offering even goes well beyond that of Vivendi Games Mobile as other publishers like Eidos New Media and THQ Wireless also signed up for the service.

Vivendi seems to have put around € 10 million into the Zaoza project, and hopes to create a stable community. Members of Zaozo can share the content they downloaded with up to five friends (if DRM allows it), which could trigger a viral effect.
The portal kicks off in France and will launch with the help from operators SFR (Vivendi owned), Orange and Bouygues, and will expand to Germany and the UK along the year.
